AFS host families are not paid, rather they volunteer to host. AFS Hong Kong provides over 50% of its students sent abroad with some amount of financial assistance as we are committed to socio-economic diversity. Schools are AFS' partner as without the school component, AFS could not provide a true intercultural programme for this age group.
AFS in Hong Kong offers programmes to teachers and educators( line to program details) - both for the short and/or long term. Both programmes include a host family stay.
